Best armor for elementalist at yaks? - Guild Wars Forums

Just got my elementalist to yaks bend, and was wondering whats the better armor for that area?

Hydromancer's Armor +5 Energy, +15 Armor vs Cold
Pyromancer's Armor +5 Energy, +15 Armor vs Fire

Or dont it really matter? Ive got the Pyro one at the moment. Thanks in advance

A lot of ice thingies around there (sorry .... forget their names), so hydro might give you better protection.

Thats what i was thinking, but wasnt sure if that was what cold dmg meant

i have always stuck with Pyromancers armour. never had any reason to change really.

As far as i know the only mobs that use cols dmg are the ice golems, and fire dmg pretty much sorts em out real quick.

i have pretty stayed with pyro all through the game, until the fire islands, then i got some areo, to help against the elememtalists, but after i would switch back to pyro. it seemed to help

not sure the name, get the MOST energy and buy a defensive staff head with +5 armor always to compensate... or i believe there is a green with TWO +5 upgrades?!?

I carry all 4 sets, that way no matter what region I go to, if I know what mobs are there, I will adjust my armor accordingly.
